For the 23rd straight year, the U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” guide awarded Trinity University a  No.1 ranking in the category of institutions that offer a full range of undergraduate programs as well as select master’s programs in the Western part of the United States. The annual college rankings also recognized Trinity’s strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in the same category and region.

Trinity also received a No. 1 ranking in the publication’s best value category, “Great Schools, Great Prices.” According to the college guide, value was based on a school’s overall score in the 2015 rankings and on the net cost of a student receiving the average need-based scholarship or grant.

This year’s edition also identifies schools where faculty have an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Trinity was ranked No. 2 in its category and region by presidents, provost, and admissions deans for its strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.

In addition, U.S. News & World Report ranked the University’s engineering science program No. 23 among the nation’s best schools where the highest degree offered is a bachelor’s or master’s.

The year’s edition also includes a section titled “A Focus on Student Success,” which highlights schools with outstanding examples of eight programs that education experts agree are key to student success. Trinity University is listed in the top schools with a stellar program in undergraduate research and creative projects. Trinity students increasingly participate in intensive and self-directed research or creative work that result in an original scholarly paper or product that is often presented at a professional conference.

U.S. News & World Report’s annual edition of“America’s Best Colleges”is one of several publications and guidebooks that have recently recognized Trinity as a premier institution.  Recently Trinity was also recognized as a “Best Buy” in the Fiske Guide to Colleges 2015, one of 44 public or private institutions recognized for excellence in cost, academic rating, and quality of student life. Additionally, Trinity was included in the 2015 edition of The Best 379 Colleges. The annual guide published by The Princeton Review also listed Trinity in the top 10 schools in the country in the category of “Best College Dorms.”

  1. Regional schools, not national …. still impressive. Too bad their diversity doesn’t come close to other nationally ranked schools.
