Last week, the Rivard Report moved beyond local news website status to become a fashion statement.
Our first order of T-shirts arrived, and we’ve been busy handing them out like Christmas cookies to so many of you who’ve helped make our first year such a success.
People like Don Dimick and Carolina Canizales, our first intern helpers. And of course, our Geekdom neighbors at Innovative Multimedia Group, Roughneck Graphics and ZippyKid who designed, launched and support our site, and Graham Weston, David Barnett and Lorenzo Gomez at the 80/20 Foundation for their inspiration and sponsorship support.
Our dozens of contributors and community voices have produced 320+ blogposts since Feb. 13. (Watch for a post about our Top 10 most-viewed posts on New Year’s Eve), generating 8,300+ comments and almost a quarter-million views. Need we point out that Rivard Report readers are highly engaged?
We are especially grateful to Miriam Sitz and Bekah McNeel, who have become regular contributors, adding their unique San Antonio perspectives to our merry band. And we are so fortunate to have found the multi-talented Iris Dimmick to lead the charge as our managing editor. We found Iris through a post published –guess where?–on the Rivard Report.
