It’s official, no city embraces the zombie culture quite like ours. More than 14,000 zombies gathered in downtown San Antonio Sunday evening for the 2014 Zombie Walk. What seemed like a scene straight out of the “The Walking Dead” series, masses of zombified humans flooded the brick paths of Hemisfair Park.

The goal of this year’s walk was to break a Guinness World Record of the biggest Zombie Walk of all time. Last I heard, they were extremely close but still waiting for official results. As the walk became closer and closer to the official start, thousands started chanting “Walk! Walk! Walk!” The walk finished at the Alamo, where a huge crowd lined South Alamo Street to view and take photos of the hoard of zombies. No city gets quite into the Halloween spirit like San Antonio. It was a fantastic evening for a stroll.
