Ken Slavin

Ken Slavin is communications manager at Accion Texas & Delta, a San Antonio-based nonprofit organization that provides micro- and small business loans to entrepreneurs who don’t have access to capital from other sources. Accion Texas & Delta manages the nation’s largest microloan portfolio and has operations in eight states. A 1983 graduate of St. Mary’s University, Ken is also a former reporter for the San Antonio Light and spent several years in senior positions with local public relations and advertising agencies before working as an independent public relations consultant from 2002 to 2012. He enjoys a successful second career as an award-winning jazz vocalist and recording artist, performing throughout Texas and the United States.
