Judson ISD Boardmember Richard LaFoille has resigned from his seat.

Judson Independent School District Trustee Richard LaFoille submitted his resignation letter to Board President Renée Paschall, Superintendent Jeanette Ball confirmed Thursday.

LaFoille has served on the board since 2004. He represents District 2, which covers the southwest portion of the district.

He did not state a reason for his resignation in the letter. LaFoille did not respond to requests for comment in time for publication.

Trustees are expected to accept LaFoille’s resignation at the regular board meeting next week and begin the process to appoint LaFoille’s successor. His term runs through May 2021.

LaFoille became the second Judson ISD board member to resign in the last two months. Trustee José Macias stepped down from his position in August to accept a position on the Alamo Colleges board.

The board chose Rafael Diaz to fill Macias’ seat earlier this week.
