Postponed: SA Chamber's luncheon on Aug. 31.

As Texas deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, our thoughts and prayers are with the people in our state who were impacted by heavy winds, torrential rain, and flooding.

You may be aware that the Chamber was planning a luncheon on Thursday, August 31 with U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, to discuss efforts to deliver comprehensive tax reform in 2017. Chairman Brady represents areas north of Houston and received word that the airports will not be opening until Thursday afternoon, so he will not be able to make it to San Antonio in time. As a result, we are going to postpone the luncheon.

We will keep you posted on the future date, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

  1. Yay! Let’s hear how Brady and Trump are going to lower taxes on corporations so they can keep even more profits to pay exorbitant bonuses to their executives and keep the rest in offshore tax shelters. That’ll really get the US economy’s engine revving.

  2. Republican pipe dream – never pay taxes again to bad old Washington!
Never fear, they’ll screw this one up royally too. With bloviator Trump in office its guaranteed.
