Leaders from Fortune’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies, along with hundreds of CEOs and executive team members of leading mid-market firms (ranging from $5 million to $500 million in value), will gather May 23 and 24 for intense interactive learning, networking, and idea-generation.
The ScaleUp Summit 2017 will take place at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. both days with presentations, networking, and breakout sessions. A worldwide executive coaching association of independent, professional business coaches, Gazelles International, helps grow companies using customized tools based on the book Scaling Up by founder Verne Harnish.
The summit’s opening session will feature local real estate developer and philanthropist Graham Weston and Build Group co-founder Lanham Napier, while Robert Cialdini, Bob Anderson, Chris Zook, and many others will round out two full days of presentations.

Top-ranked business authors will present on leadership, marketing, strategy, coaching, and influence – basically the equivalent of “reading a dozen of today’s top business books in 48 hours,” according to the summit organizer’s website.
Gazelles’ coaches focus on the development of mid-market companies using the “four decisions” as detailed in the book Mastering the Rockefeller Habits by Gazelles founder Harnish. These independent executive coaches – more than 120 of them combining 1,650-plus years of professional experience – collaborate with more than 1,700 companies globally to support growing companies and business units across various industry sectors.
“Gazelle” is a technical economic term for a company growing at an annual rate of 20% or more, according to Gazelle’s website. It is this growth of scaling up that the professional coaches seek to encourage in other companies.
Weston has first-hand experience with the benefits from attending a ScaleUp Summit event dating back to his early days with Rackspace.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for some of our local leaders to gain valuable knowledge from peers around the country and to also be exposed to top-notch thought leaders,” Weston said.
The summit will allow San Antonio business leaders to learn directly from the CEOs of some of the world’s top companies. Business leaders will share experiences and insights on their “Rockefeller habits” with conference attendees in order help them craft industry-dominating strategies.
