AUSTIN – As the SXSW Interactive enters its final day on Tuesday, film and music portions of the annual festival in Austin are gaining momentum. Traffic in and out of San Antonio’s “icehouse,” a hub for Alamo City advocates and local industry experts, inside the Austin Convention Center was notably slower on Monday than the trade show’s first day on Sunday, said Choose San Antonio Program Director Nicolette Good.
Another year, another pilgrimage of San Antonio technology-driven entrepreneurs and social media practitioners to South by Southwest’s Interactive (SXSW) festival.
Café Commerce only opened nine months ago, but the numbers suggest success as the non-profit helps build and nurture San Antonio’s entrepreneurial community.
With a $50,000 prize from a Small Business Administration competition, Café Commerce has announced a new pilot program, Break Fast and Launch, that will focus on accelerating new restaurants, bakeries, food technology, caterers, brewers, food truckers, and all things culinary in San Antonio.
